peculiar. onomatopoeia. jubilee. harsh. lovely. surreptitiously. ramble. 

i adore words. i love words that sound like the things they describe- such as peculiar, it sounds peculiar. i love the way words roll off tongues and link together to form conversations. i gawk at the way a new word pops out amognst a page covered in common phrases. it's bizarre yet wondrous how simple letters can form so many little bits of information. how 'A' can be a letter or a crucial part in creating a grammatically correct sentence: i just used the word 'a' a few times just now did you notice? i could not live without dictionaries and thesauruses; finding unfamiliar words and learning what they mean makes me so elated. knowing that there are several ways to say the colour blue: cerulean, azure, sapphire, lazuline look and sound so beautiful to me. i'm always curious as to who was privileged in creating these words and why they spelled them the way they did. when i begin to ponder other languages my mind is consumed with beauty and wonder. something such as the letter 'y' is pronounced like a 'j' in spanish and pronounced...well how do you describe the pronunciation of 'y' without using the letter? words are almost magical in a way and they're something people pay no mind to. they throw harsh words out into the air with a lack of understanding their power in affecting someone. what words do you tend to use on a daily basis? are you aware of the words that form in your mouth and slip past your cheek? words have the capability to build a child into a strong, confident, and content individual or they can cut and tear down a weary soul, grinding them down to the ground without so much as lifting a finger. words are bricks: you can chuck them violently at people to a point where they become unrecognizable or you can place them carefully one atop of the other to build something that can't easily be knocked down. i choose to watch the words i speak for i know how they have shaped me into the woman i am. what will you allow your words to do?
