part 1:
hmm let me try to recall how the beginning of my monday went. i believe i woke up, scratch that- i know i woke up haha, around 9:37ish. freshened up in the shower, got dressed, grabbed my leather backpack that i've rarely used (will be used more often this year due to uni yaay!) and stuffed it with: a binder, a notebook, gloves, a pen & highlighter, a book of poetry & prose, and my phone. then i rushed downstairs to not keep the boy waiting. while opening the front doors i realized it was drizzling a bit and i contemplated if i should run up to get my umbrella then i thought "meh to heck with it!". he being the smart one suggested that i go back and get my umbrella "just in case, it could rain harder" so i did just that. finally ready to go get in the car and drive to his place. get to our destination take off our coats and sweaters, grab a piece of toast and butter, then head downstairs with tim tams and a laptop. as soon as we get downstairs we plan out the layout for our fort, we wanted to put more thought into than last time. this time was a far greater success. the only side not covered by a blanket/couch was our entrance and even so the blanket draped down a bit. it was perfection, a little hide away- our little world of peace. got comfy and what not, then began to finish 'Dan in Real Life' and i forgot how great of a film it is. i love it. that's it- just love all the emotions you feel throughout the movie it's wonderful. and the soundtrack is spectacular. then it ended so we chilled in the fort for about three hours, chatting, listening to good music, and enjoy one another company. loved every bit of it :)
part 2:
sadly it had to end cause i had to head to my first class of creative writing. oh creative writing, i was hestiant going into this class for various reasons. the reasons being :
- i didn't know what to expect but prayed it would be similar to the one mark taught in my creative writing 12 class
- i haven't written a poem in about a year, well more like finished a poem- started a couple...that's it
- i didn't really know where the class was (unlike the art class i had on wednesday which i found after my orientation)
- i was about 20 minutes early and didn't know if should purchase my art supplies at the bookstore or go to class- i worried about this for the reason above
so i decide to find a washroom instead to chill there for a bit like a loner but that plan went down the drain for the one washroom i happened to find was like a locker room with a shower and one stall with a clogged toilet- oh joy.... so i slowly fixed my hair then headed out in the plain poorly lit hallway. it kinda felt as though i was underground the lighting was so bizarre or maybe i was just thinking it was. the hallways were a tad busy with students walking to and from classes- wasn't expecting that for some reason. perhaps cause on the trip to my art class the hallways are empty, with a student or two chilling in these rooms by windows- i don't know what they're called. anywho. my class is D142 and the class i'm passing are D1123...yeah you could imagine my nerves and confusion. i was in the right building thank goodness but the correct floor? i almost did a 360 to head back in the direction i came from but decided to walk forward a bit and see D143...and after that D142. whew what a relief. i peek through the door a bit and see students sitting down... i didn't look inside in fear that a class might be occurring and i didn't want to be the strange girl gazing into a class awkwardly. so i decided to wait in the hall with a couple other students then see a girl walk into the class and i feel like a schmuck for waiting in the hall for no reason. at this point i have am 17 minutes early to class. i walk in and ask the girl who just walked in if it was the creative writing class, a look of horror shines strikes her face as her eyes widen and i'm equally confused. i quickly turn to the boy in front of her who's staring at us and ask "this is creative writing right??" he then replies"yes". few! thaaaaaaaank goodness. i felt bad for the girl though who quickly vanished out of the classroom. i then sat alone at a table with three other students equally alone (i don't know how early they came in but it seemed as though they had been there for quite a while...). i unlike the other two didn't have a laptop so i pulled out my iphone and browsed lookbook.nu and weheartit.com just because i didn't want to stare blankly at the clock or chalkboard. around 8 to 4 students slowly started trudging, clanking, and bustling into class as they found seats. then the prof walked in and asked "this is intro to writing right?" and i laughed in my head at the thought that even the professor was unsure if this was his class or not. just a little before class was to start, i'm still sitting alone, i see a familiar face getting ready to sit on the opposite side of class. we lock eyes and i notion her to sit next to me. it was luciana, how wonderful. i missed her and our random outing downtown with picnics and 'bike soul mates'. i missed our chemistry class with drawing out pictures to lyrics and doodling on the desk- she just scraped by chem. i missed sticking notes and picture under our desks in art class for the other to read in her next class. so seeing her again unexpectedly in creative writing about a year later was a very lovely surprise :) i can't wait to see what memories we'll create this semester. And back to class, the whole purpose as to why the two of us (and the other 18 students) where there. well my prayers worked, as prayer always does, and my class is quite similar- if not almost the same as the one i had in grade 12. the teacher spoke kindly, cracked a couple jokes, did the little intro and gave out the guidelines. we'll be reading poetry (how else are we to learn to write if we don't read right?), doing workshops, and we also did the "non-stop writing for ___minutes" just as mark did. wohooo. it was pure happiness. class ended, with him reading one the poems we're to read for homework. greatest homework ever! reading poems, yayaya ♥oh and i know exactly when all my homework, and poetry/prose is to be read/due by. how marvelous.
part3:
after we were dismissed from class, with two hours to spare, luciana accompanied me to the bookstore where i purchased most of what i need for class tomorrow. i have yet to get the 24x36 newsprint pad ( i didn't want to carry it home on the bus then lug it back to class tomorrow along with the 18x26 pad-it'd be a struggle and an embarrassment as i'd drop everything i can just imagine it all). i also have to get two giant clips and coloured chalk. art supplies make so happy, i'd prefer to get brushes and paint, but this is a drawing class and a new experience so i'm still elated to see what will occur during the next few weeks. after buying my supplies we catch a bus home, so glad i won't be busing alone on mondays. on the second bus home we spot ashley and she happily joins us. it was like a bit of a high school reunion, except with three girls that barely hung out as one, but more of in pairs. it was a pleasant ride home. reminded me of the lovely dinner at the pub ashley and i had the night before when she asked if i'd like to be her friend- she's a sweetheart i couldn't say no. even if i could i wouldn't. finally get to my stop, bid farewell then look back to see them waving goodbye through the window. yet another smile formed on my face. get home, eat and collapse on the couch watching the VMA's and Gossip Girl. great end to a even great day.
and to make it that much better, the cherry and whip cream atop the banana split, i get this text:
"Well i'm off to bed:) thanks for being the highlight of my day :) and a great way to start the week with a a beautiul girl"
