gaaah vampire weekend last night was simply amazing. they are so flipping grand live! and underneath a starry sky with trees encasing the field as bright lights flash to and fro to the rhythmic beats of the bands greatness- just so darn lovely and beautiful and i want to go again tonight haha. honestly great concert.
go check em out cause they're pure greatness & oh so humble + greatful.
somehow i always forget how much i enjoy concerts until i attend one again. i've only been to three and they've all great and so different. i've done the cheap tickets & small venue, moshing around cramped and sweaty and so close to the band you can almost touch their hand (and i did, i almost touched gabe saporta's hand). Next was the slightly bigger venue (in a casino, but not in the casino yennoo...), it was a different crowd- they seemed more uptight for a bit, they didn't stand for a while. but the band was so great (one republic another you should see) their transitions to the next songs were flawless. and there were celo's and violins and it was so relaxing. And then there was last night's concert which was just magical. first we sat out on the field on a mexican blanket amongst others just chilling to the first two opening bands (which were spectacular i will get download them asap). then we stood when vampire weekend made their entrance. stood and swayed for a bit then the music got more upbeat so we hit up the crowd and danced and swayed and sang and cheered and it was lovely. the stars sparkled and shined above our heads and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. oh so lovely and i could go on and on and on...but i won't :) oh and the company was perfection.
next on the list
the script, matt & kim, she & him,
